Cattlemen set their sights on Winnipeggers.
MCPA Communications chairman, Don Winnicky, tracked down this bus on Portage Ave., near Polo Park. The committee began an advertising campaign targetting Winnipeggers, promoting the environmental benefits of having cattle on the landscape. It was a proactive, educational approach that saw 12 buses throughout the city carrying this message for the month of August. While the results will be difficult to measure, the board believes the effort is a worthwhile way to spend producer check-off dollars.
